International applicants holding a non-German school-leaving qualification apply through uni-assist, not directly to HTW Dresden, and the deadline is 15 June of the same year for a winter-semester start (30 November of the previous year for a summer start — though every STEM bachelor's here starts only in the winter semester). That is a month earlier than the 15 July that applies to German applicants on restricted programmes, and HTW Dresden is explicit that what counts is uni-assist receiving both the complete documents AND the handling fee by the deadline — so it advises applying early to leave time to supply anything missing. Applicants from abroad who hold a German Abitur (including from a German school overseas) are treated as domestic applicants and apply directly instead, in the window 1 May to 15 July (restricted programmes) or 1 May to 1 October (unrestricted programmes, while places remain).
