Applicants holding a school-leaving certificate obtained abroad apply annually from 1 March to 15 July for the winter-semester intake, and must go through uni-assist, the central assessment office in Berlin, rather than applying directly to Kassel. Note the asymmetry with domestic applicants, whose window (1 June – 1 September) both opens later and closes six weeks later.
