Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent foreign degree in a related field, with an overall GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 (minimum grade 1.0), equivalent to 2.0 on the German grading system. Applicants need sufficient knowledge in higher mathematics, mechanics, fluid mechanics, material science, manufacturing engineering, machine-element construction and design, thermodynamics, electrical engineering/electronics, measurement and control technology, programming/data processing, and finite element simulations; additional requirements apply per specialisation. Applicants from India, China, Vietnam and Mongolia need an APS certificate.
