Minimum five subjects, three of which must be at GCE Advanced Level (excluding General Paper) and two at GCSE/IGCSE level; competitive Advanced Level grades are "B" or higher and GCSE/IGCSE grades "C"/4 or higher. Programme-specific subject requirements, quoted in this field's provenance: Mechanical Engineering is reachable either via a Direct Entry admission code or via Smith Engineering's common core (QE), guaranteed at the end of first year for students who choose the general path; both carry the same subject bar (English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics; Mathematics and either Chemistry or Physics at Advanced Level). Queen's offers a general option plus specialisations in biomechanical or materials engineering within the same degree.
