TestDaF 16.

This degree has restricted admission (Zulassungsbeschränkt, numerus clausus) per RUB's own study-programme listing -- places are allocated competitively rather than to every qualified applicant. All applicants need a higher-education entrance qualification recognised in Germany (e.g. the German Abitur, or an equivalent qualification checked via the DAAD/anabin recognition databases). Applicants without a sufficient qualification cannot apply directly and must first complete a one-year Studienkolleg foundation course (Studienkolleg Bochum prepares specifically for technical subjects) and pass the Feststellungsprüfung assessment exam.
