Application Deadline
For applicants holding certificates from outside the EU/EEA, the bachelor's application window for the winter semester runs 16 January to 15 July. There is no summer-semester intake for any bachelor programme. Applicants with EU/EEA certificates (and, for bachelor's applications, Turkey) get until 15 September. Applications for the winter semester 2026 are still handled directly through TU Ilmenau's own campus portal; TU Ilmenau states that every application for 2027 or later with international certificates must instead be submitted through uni-assist. TU Ilmenau charges EUR 75 per application submitted with non-European certificates and warns that processing takes 4-6 weeks for a bachelor's application and that a visa normally takes about three months on top.
