Open to graduates of Bachelor's degree courses in any academic discipline related to security, preferring students with a Bachelor's degree and/or practical experience in security studies/management, international relations, international law, public administration, criminology, or policing studies. Applicants from business administration, accounting, computer science, or engineering backgrounds are only considered exceptionally, if they have relevant professional experience and their prior studies had clear security-related content. Selective admission (more applications than places) based on prior-degree grade and subject-specific motivation/aptitude. Personal attendance is mandatory for most courses (mostly on-site at the Lichtenberg campus), with no fixed weekly lecture schedule -- part-time work alongside the programme is discouraged.
